Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our Pulmonary Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing clinical evaluation and delivery of respiratory care to patients. This is a per diem position, requiring flexibility and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory support for patients on ventilators, including monitoring, evaluating, and making clinical judgments.
  • Perform therapeutic modalities with a full understanding of pathophysiology and indication for therapy.
  • Evaluate and prepare patients for therapy, including performing basic assessments and recommending therapy and changes as needed.
  • Document patient treatment and therapy in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Licensure in the State of Connecticut as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Maintain Registry Credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Maintain Connecticut State Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
