Pulmonary Function Technician

The Pulmonary Function Technician is responsible for performing various tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality control in the Pulmonary Lab. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and plethysmography
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and competency assessments
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results
• Develop and implement procedures and policies to improve laboratory operations and patient care
Requirements:
• Registered Cardiopulmonary Technologist (RPFT) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
