Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and food safety initiatives at our wildlife seed and warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs and procedures for all operations within the wildlife seed and warehouse facility.
  • Ensure compliance with FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to assess quality systems, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead the quality assurance team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and achieve quality objectives and targets.
  • Train and educate employees on quality standards, company philosophy, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage documentation and records related to quality assurance and food safety activities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or proven experience (3+ years) in quality management within the food industry, preferably in a seed or agricultural products environment.
  • Strong understanding of FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC regulations and their application in food safety and quality management.
  • Certification in HACCP and/or HARPC preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in conducting audits and managing regulatory inspections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
