Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist

Ochsner Health System is seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Dermatology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide pharmacokinetic consultation and obtain laboratory data to evaluate drug selection and dosing, communicating findings to healthcare practitioners.
- Evaluate patient response to drug therapy and document interventions, conducting outcome studies and evaluations.
- Assist in the development of pathways, best practices, and guidelines for assigned populations.
- Educate staff, students, patients, healthcare providers, and other healthcare professionals, submitting publications as needed.
- Mentor residents, students, and new staff to meet departmental goals.
- Ensure overall patient care beyond hospital visits, through all transitions of care.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 3 years of related specialty experience.
- Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice.
- Strong leadership and teaching skills, with effective verbal and written communication.
