JOB OBJECTIVE:

Oversee and manage clinical research initiatives within the oncology department.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Acquire and uphold essential skills necessary for executing clinical research, including
updating training documentation, maintaining RN licensure, and fulfilling state-mandated continuing education units.

  • Design, implement, and oversee research protocols. Recruit and supervise study participants and
their interactions.

  • Execute nursing responsibilities as dictated by research protocols as needed.
  • May act as a clinical advisor to non-clinical personnel.
  • Formulate recruitment strategies in collaboration with research teams.
  • Inform participants about study-related processes.
  • Conduct data management tasks, including data extraction, collection, source documentation,
and reporting.

  • Facilitate sponsor engagements, including site visits, inquiries, and additional requests.
  • Handle administrative duties, encompassing research documentation, financial tracking,
and participant compensation, among others.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Registered Nurse from an accredited nursing institution, OR a graduate from an accredited nursing program with a current Georgia Advanced Practice Nursing license and a Master's degree in Nursing, OR a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a valid Georgia State Composite Board license.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of one year of experience in clinical research, healthcare, or a related domain.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/
CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

Active License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License OR a Licensed Physician Assistant in Georgia. OR Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
