JOB SUMMARY:

Accountable for overseeing clinical research initiatives within the oncology department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establishes and upholds essential competencies necessary for executing clinical research, which includes

keeping up-to-date training records, maintaining RN licensure, and fulfilling state-mandated CEUs.
  • Designs, implements, and manages research protocols. Recruits and oversees study participants and

their interactions.
  • Executes clinical nursing tasks as dictated by research protocols when needed.
  • May act as a clinical consultant to non-clinical personnel.
  • Formulates recruitment strategies in collaboration with research teams.
  • Informs participants about study-related procedures.
  • Conducts data management tasks, including data extraction, collection, source development

and reporting.
  • Oversees sponsor communications, including site visits, inquiries, and additional requests.
  • Manages administrative duties, encompassing research documentation, revenue tracking

and participant compensation, among others.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Registered Nurse from an accredited nursing program, OR a graduate from an accredited nursing school with a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing, OR

a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a current license from the Georgia State Composite Board.

Minimum Experience Required

At least one year of experience in clinical research, healthcare, or a related discipline.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law

Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License OR

Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. OR Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing

(ACNP).

Additional Qualifications

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
