HR SPECIALIST

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and oversee the complete recruitment cycle, encompassing job advertisements, candidate evaluation, interviews, and onboarding processes.
  • Support operational leaders with HR functions such as employee performance evaluations, policy clarification, terminations, and disciplinary measures.
  • Act as a reliable HR collaborator, offering insights and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, serving as the main point of contact for inquiries related to benefits.
  • Manage case oversight for disability and medical leave situations.
  • Design, execute, and support the organization's performance appraisal system, collaborating with managers on performance enhancement strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, revising policies as required.
  • Maintain precise employee records and payroll, generating necessary reports.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement employee engagement strategies that promote a motivated and satisfied workforce.
  • Operate autonomously with minimal guidance, applying sound judgment and expertise to resolve client-related challenges.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR leadership, advice, and support to management to meet business objectives.
  • Guide and mentor leaders on addressing employee-related matters.
  • Oversee performance management, compensation, training, and development initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and act as the liaison for payroll and benefits programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in Human Resource Management or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • 7+ years of progressive HR/business experience, emphasizing generalist/advisory roles in business support.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Human Resource best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Expertise in high-volume sourcing and recruitment, particularly in operational settings.
  • Experience in small to medium-sized enterprises.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent business insight and negotiation abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of addressing people-related matters in alignment with the organization's core values and culture.
  • High ethical standards, diligence, and a robust sense of personal responsibility.
  • Highly organized, capable of working independently, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to utilize data for informed decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as necessary (40%-50% of the time).
  • Experience in the Gathering/Exploration Energy sector is preferred.
