HR SPECIALIST

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and oversee the complete recruitment cycle, encompassing job advertisements, candidate evaluation, interviews, and onboarding processes.
  • Support operational leaders with HR functions such as employee performance assessments, policy clarification, terminations, and disciplinary measures.
  • Act as a reliable HR advisor, offering insights and ensuring compliance with HR policies and practices to improve organizational performance.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, serving as the main point of contact for inquiries related to benefits.
  • Manage case processing for disability and medical leave requests.
  • Design, execute, and support the organization’s performance evaluation system, collaborating with managers on performance enhancement strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, revising policies as needed.
  • Maintain precise employee records and payroll, and produce necessary reports.
  • Work with leadership to develop and implement employee engagement strategies to cultivate a motivated and satisfied workforce.
  • Operate autonomously with minimal supervision, utilizing sound judgment and expertise to resolve client-related matters.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR leadership, guidance, and counsel to management to meet business objectives.
  • Mentor and coach leaders on effectively managing employee relations.
  • Oversee performance management, compensation, training, and development initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and act as the liaison for payroll and benefits services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • 7+ years of progressive HR/business experience, particularly in generalist/advisory roles within business support.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Expertise in high-volume sourcing and recruitment, especially in operational settings.
  • Experience within small to medium-sized enterprises.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with care.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent business insight and negotiation capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at addressing people-related matters in alignment with the organization’s core values and culture.
  • High ethical standards, diligence, and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
  • Highly organized, capable of working independently, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical abilities to utilize data for informed decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required (40%-50% of the time).
  • Experience in the Gathering/Exploration Energy sector is advantageous.
