Job Title: Technical Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team at Databento. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading the technical onboarding process, discovering and leading revenue expansion opportunities, and establishing and maintaining accurate forecasting and record-keeping procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration of our data solutions with our customers' systems.
  • Discover and lead revenue expansion opportunities, including upsells and renewals, to drive business growth.
  • Gather customer feedback, testimonials, and case studies to improve our sales strategies and customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain accurate, timely, and documented forecasting and record-keeping procedures, ensuring our CRM is up-to-date and organized.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive-level customers and partners, identifying new business opportunities and adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and drive business growth.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales, customer success, or technical account management, with a strong understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with developers, quants, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with product-led growth (PLG), data products, quant trading, and/or market microstructure, with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of our data solutions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to automate processes in Hubspot, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Professional communication skills, with the ability to adapt to the tone and style of an institutional financial product.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, with limited resources and personnel, and a willingness to take ownership of sales strategies and customer relationships.
