Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced On-Duty House Administrator to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our departments and personnel during assigned periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume primary administrative responsibility and accountability for all departments and personnel during assigned periods.
  • Serve as a resource for all departments and personnel during assigned periods, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, UH departments, and other institutions and agencies to promote and facilitate communication, problem-solving, decision-making, crisis intervention, resource utilization, and conflict management.
  • Report summary of incidents to senior management as required.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of directly related experience.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days of hire.
Working Conditions

This role requires:

  • Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
  • Working in a fast-paced hospital environment with potential exposure to chemicals and bio-hazardous materials.

Please note that this is a contract position with an annual contract and performance appraisal.
