On-Duty House Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced On-Duty House Administrator to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our hospital operations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between departments and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Assume primary administrative responsibility and accountability for all departments and personnel during assigned periods.
- Serve as a resource for all departments and personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, UH departments, and other institutions and agencies to promote and facilitate communication, problem-solving, decision-making, crisis intervention, resource utilization, and conflict management.
- Report summary of incidents to senior management as required.
- Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and supervision to promote patient safety and satisfaction, as well as employee safety and satisfaction.
- Act as a role model for all departments and personnel, adhering to UNMH policies and procedures and demonstrating UNMH Behaviors of Excellence.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Experience: 3 years directly related experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Credentials: RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of position, CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days.
The On-Duty House Administrator will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals and bio-hazardous materials. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
