Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team to generate and analyze financial reports.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s ledger.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and conduct reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with state revenue service and other regulatory bodies.
  • Support budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Utilize bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases to record and retrieve financial data.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
  • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the Real Estate or Mortgage sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel, and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Excellent data entry skills along with a strong affinity for numbers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Capability to manage sensitive, confidential information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or equivalent business experience.
