Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our social media division, dedicated to fostering connections between Netflix and multicultural demographics. This role will be pivotal in crafting and implementing culturally relevant and innovative social marketing initiatives aimed at authentically engaging LGBTQ+ audiences through our original content and licensed offerings. The selected candidate will work collaboratively across departments to synchronize social strategies with broader marketing objectives, effectively conveying these goals to partners, and generating engaging content for key audiences across various social platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute social strategies targeting LGBTQ+ audiences across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X, Tumblr, and YouTube.
  • Develop social strategies for relevant Netflix titles, ensuring alignment with overarching marketing campaign objectives, including audience targeting and content distribution.
  • Oversee internal and external resources to implement social campaigns from concept through to execution.
  • Collaborate with essential cross-functional teams, including Creative Marketing, Publicity, and Paid Media, to establish social strategies that align with business goals for the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Create promotional narratives for multiple titles based on audience insights and behavioral trends.
  • Utilize social analytics and internal data to refine strategies, enhance creative output, and continually improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary contact for social strategy and creative initiatives across various teams focused on LGBTQ+ audience engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing extensive, multi-platform marketing campaigns with a focus on nuanced, insight-driven social strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of effective practices across diverse social media platforms and experience in multi-channel content distribution.
  • Strong background and passion for LGBTQ+ entertainment and cultural trends.
  • Collaborative mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable leading and supporting team efforts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to leverage data and creativity to produce compelling content that captivates audiences.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Adept at building relationships and collaborating with various internal teams.
  • Experience working directly with filmmakers and a talent for effective pitching and presentation.
  • Resilience in adapting to change and managing a high volume of work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Commitment to embracing and promoting Netflix's unique culture.

Compensation and Benefits:
Netflix offers a competitive salary structure without bonuses, allowing employees to choose their compensation mix between salary and stock options. The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $360,000. Comprehensive benefits include health plans, mental health support, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, stock options, disability programs, and generous paid time off policies.
