Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our social media division, concentrating on engaging with multicultural demographics. This role is pivotal in crafting and implementing customized, culturally significant, and inventive social marketing initiatives that genuinely connect with LGBTQ+ audiences through our original content and licensed offerings. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across departments to synchronize social strategies with broader marketing objectives, effectively relay these goals to stakeholders, and generate content that captivates these essential audiences across various social platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement social strategies aimed at reaching LGBTQ+ audiences on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X, Tumblr, YouTube, and others.
  • Develop social strategies for relevant Netflix films and series, ensuring alignment with overall marketing campaign strategies, including target demographics, social content, and distribution across Netflix's social ecosystem.
  • Oversee internal and external resources to execute social campaigns for titles and slates from conception through production and distribution.
  • Collaborate with key partners across Creative Marketing, Publicity, Paid Media, Events, and more to create social strategies that align with business priorities related to LGBTQ+ audiences.
  • Craft multi-title promotional narratives based on audience insights and existing channel highlights.
  • Utilize social analytics and internal data to refine strategies, enhance creative outputs, and continually improve future campaigns.
  • Serve as the primary contact for social strategy and creative across Marketing, Publicity, Content, and other teams focusing on LGBTQ+ initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in executing broad, multi-platform marketing campaigns with a focus on nuanced, insight-driven social strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of effective practices across various social media platforms and experience in multi-channel distribution.
  • Strong affinity for LGBTQ+ entertainment and cultural trends.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative spirit, comfortable leading and supporting teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to leverage data and creativity to produce engaging content that resonates with audiences.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Skilled in building relationships and collaborating across diverse internal teams.
  • Experience in working directly with filmmakers and adept at pitching and presenting ideas effectively.
  • High adaptability to change and capacity to manage substantial workloads in a fast-paced setting.
  • Commitment to understanding and embracing Netflix's unique culture.

Compensation and Benefits:

Netflix offers a competitive salary structure without bonuses, allowing you to choose your compensation mix between salary and stock options. The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $360,000. Comprehensive benefits include health plans, mental health support, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, stock options, disability programs, and generous paid leave policies.
