Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our social media division, dedicated to fostering connections between Netflix and multicultural audiences. This role entails the development and implementation of culturally relevant and innovative social marketing initiatives aimed at authentically engaging LGBTQ+ communities through our original content and licensed offerings. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments to ensure alignment of social strategies with broader marketing objectives, effectively conveying these goals to partners, and crafting engaging content for various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute social strategies targeting LGBTQ+ audiences across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X, Tumblr, and YouTube.
  • Develop social strategies for relevant Netflix titles, ensuring alignment with overarching marketing campaign strategies, including audience targeting and content distribution.
  • Oversee internal and agency resources to implement social campaigns from concept through production and distribution.
  • Collaborate with key partners in Creative Marketing, Publicity, Paid Media, and Events to create social strategies that support business objectives related to LGBTQ+ audiences.
  • Craft multi-title promotional narratives based on audience insights and existing channel trends.
  • Utilize social analytics and internal data to inform strategy, refine creative approaches, and enhance future campaigns.
  • Serve as the primary contact for social strategy and creative initiatives across Marketing, Publicity, and Content teams for LGBTQ+ focused projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing extensive, multi-platform marketing campaigns with a focus on nuanced, insight-driven social strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of effective practices across various social media platforms and experience in multi-channel distribution.
  • Strong background and passion for LGBTQ+ entertainment and cultural trends.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative spirit, comfortable leading and supporting team efforts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience leveraging data and creativity to produce engaging content that captures audience attention.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting shifting deadlines.
  • Skilled in building relationships and collaborating with diverse internal teams.
  • Experience working directly with filmmakers and proficient in pitching ideas with an understanding of audience dynamics.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment, managing substantial workloads effectively.

Compensation and Benefits:
Netflix offers a competitive salary structure without bonuses, allowing employees to choose their compensation mix between salary and stock options. Our compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $360,000. We provide comprehensive benefits, including health plans, mental health support, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, stock options, disability programs, and paid leave policies. Full-time employees accrue generous paid time off for vacations, holidays, and sick leave.
