Position Overview


The Financial Operations Manager will report directly to the Finance Director for North America. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of general ledger reconciliations, taxation, payroll, budgeting, and management reporting, alongside a robust proficiency in Excel and integrated accounting systems.

The Financial Operations Manager is tasked with the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of financial and accounting data for the US division of the company.

This individual will ensure the reliability and precision of financial information and reports, guaranteeing that all financial accounting and regulatory reporting is executed with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Oversee End of Month and End of Year processes, including reconciliations for reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct month-end closing procedures, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost center variance analysis.
  • Review daily sales and inventory transactions prior to ledger posting.
  • Support payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable team members.
  • Assist in the bi-weekly payroll process and review payroll tax returns against payments made.
  • Prepare payroll journals and accruals.
  • Review supplier batch payments and employee expense claims.
  • Manage vendor data creation and maintenance.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Assist with monthly forecasting and annual budget preparation.
  • Support statutory and tax compliance activities.
  • Participate in audit activities and respond to requests from external auditors and HQ Finance team.
  • Engage in system and business process improvement initiatives within the finance team.
  • Ensure system integrity and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify gaps and contribute innovative ideas to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Hybrid work model with two days in the office.

Minimum Requirements

  • CPA or CA qualification, relevant bachelor's degree (Accounting major), or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years in a comprehensive accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP systems and BI tools
  • Relevant experience in commercial and inventory-based businesses
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
