Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our team at Alta Equipment Group. As a key member of our construction equipment group, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and maintenance to our customers.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
- Conduct inspections and diagnose issues with equipment
- Install and replace parts as needed
- Implement optional accessories and upgrades
- Perform basic diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Test and verify equipment functionality
- Responsible for inventory management of onboard parts
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Three years of previous heavy equipment repair experience preferred
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Possess own tools
- A positive attitude and high energy level
- Must have a clean driving record
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Volvo VCADS
- Language Skills: Intermediate
- Mathematical Skills: Basic
- Reasoning Ability: Intermediate
- Regularly will stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands; Frequently will talk/hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; Occasionally will sit
- Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 25 pounds; Frequently will lift 26 to 50 pounds; Occasionally will lift from 51 to 100 plus pounds
- Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts; Frequently will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions; Occasionally will work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, vibration
