Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Oakhurst Dairy. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment, as well as utility-related equipment and systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including routine inspections of equipment to assess reliability and performance.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Support the installation of new equipment and assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring all repairs are documented.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques, and utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Requirements
  • Ability to work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments.
  • Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
