Job Summary

Industrial Inspection & Analysis is seeking a Fire Equipment Technician to join our team in Portland, Maine. As a Fire Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire hoses and equipment on fire apparatus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove and inspect fire hoses from fire apparatus and racks
  • Perform required recordings and tests on fire equipment
  • Repack hoses to the proper place
  • Test and inspect other fire equipment on fire apparatus as needed

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Hard working and dependable individual

Working Conditions:

  • Work is Monday-Friday and occasionally Saturday
  • Typical week consists of 40+ hours (Average of 50 hours/week)
  • Occasional work day can be 12+ hours; Shift is not over until job is completed
  • Daily pick-up is 7:30 am at Park and Ride in South Portland
  • Transportation to work site via company vehicle
  • Occasional work trip out of state required for up to 1 week (hotel and food provided by company)
  • Steel toe work boots required and work shirts supplied by company
