Key Responsibilities:- Perform major repairs, including engine, transmission, accident damage, and rear end repairs within the transportation truck shop.
- Ensure a functional and operational transportation fleet through regular maintenance tasks.
- Repair and maintain refrigeration equipment as needed.
- Repair major structural damage to trailers, refrigeration systems, and components.
- Perform welding functions as needed.
- Solve electrical and brake problems, and perform compressor preventive maintenance.
- Repair tractors, warehouse equipment, and external engines.
- Strive to find more efficient ways to perform tasks and reduce costs.
- Perform Truck Mechanic B requirements and major preventive maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret shop material.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work groups or distribution centers.
