Job Title: Behavioral Support Specialist

Amergis is seeking a skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to provide behavioral support services in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned students.
  • Assist students with daily activities, including grooming, eating, and toileting.
  • Support students with ambulation and transfer services.
  • Manage assault/difficult behavior and implement crisis intervention strategies.
  • Encourage independence and maintain student safety.
  • Implement behavioral plans and document care according to Amergis policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Full command of the English language, verbal and written.
  • Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
  • Current CPR card.
  • Current TB Skin test or Chest X-ray.
  • Successful completion of Company testing process.
