Job Title: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team as a Central Access and Disposition Specialist. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inpatient behavioral health services across our system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in the behavioral and medical needs of behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and assessing the most appropriate treatment setting.
  • Work closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver on established performance and efficiency metrics, tracking, analyzing, and presenting data to demonstrate progress and areas for improvement.
  • Lead change management efforts, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure active engagement and broad commitment to a system-focused culture.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders systemwide to address placement barriers and challenges, and to escalate disputes between site leadership and centralized bed placement recommendations.

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in inpatient behavioral health services, with a strong understanding of medical competencies and clearance criteria.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain multidisciplinary relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and communicate trends in barriers to admission and discharge.
