Behavioral Therapist

Alternative Community Resource Programs Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, the Licensed Behavior Specialist will provide ongoing clinical assessment, treatment planning, and monitoring of behavior plans, as well as serve as a consultant to families and other members of the treatment team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized client treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Provide support and guidance to parents, teachers, and community officials to help them understand and address the behavioral needs of their clients.
- Implement rewards and consequences to promote positive behavior and reduce problem behavior.
- Coordinate clinical information and direction with other professionals and agencies, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of target behaviors, using direct and indirect methods to inform treatment planning.
- Perform Functional Behavior Assessments as needed, to identify underlying causes of problem behavior.
- Stay up-to-date on evidence-based behavioral practices, incorporating the latest research and techniques into treatment planning.
- Provide culturally aware and competent service provision, tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs of diverse clients.
- Teach skills related to adaptive functioning, using least restrictive methods to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
- Accept cases and ensure effective treatment delivery, working collaboratively with the treatment team to achieve client goals.
- Complete initial training curriculum, as required by company guidelines.
- Develop and implement behavior modification intervention plans, working closely with the treatment team to ensure effective implementation.
- Provide professional consultation to Behavior Consultants and other staff members, as needed.
- Attend required meetings and scheduled work shifts, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Plan, prepare, and conduct individual, family, and group therapy activities, as directed by the treatment team.
- Complete all necessary reports, records, correspondence, and other written materials, as required by program regulations or the Agency.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other human services-related field.
- Behavioral Specialist Licensure (BSL), required.
- At least two (2) years of Behavioral Consultant experience, required.
