About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at TransPerfect. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new revenue growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Manage and lead regional business development activities to drive new revenue and expand our customer base.
  • Sales Strategy: In coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Cold Calling: Conduct cold calls to prospective clients to introduce our services and build relationships.
  • Lead Generation: Develop prospective clients through various strategies, including internet research, trade show lists, referrals, and professional directories.
  • Client Acquisition: Foster and close new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other means, such as tradeshows and regional organizations.
  • Problem Solving: Creatively problem solve to improve current new business development strategy and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Client Education: Educate prospective and existing clients regarding the translation process, including our rates, turnaround time, and competitors' information.
  • Client Satisfaction: Consistently follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality, and customer service.
  • Industry Research: Research and understand all industries that we market to, including industry leaders, current events, and other pertinent data.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Sales Experience: Between 2-4 years of sales experience.
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Sales Cycle Experience: Proven sales life cycle experience, from lead generation to business closing.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Sales Performance: Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
