Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will provide exceptional service to guests at our venue. Your role will encompass various responsibilities across all dining areas, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable experience. Responsibilities include managing transactions, preparing food orders, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting kitchen operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Take and process food and beverage orders from guests.
  • Utilize cash register and POS systems for transactions, including cash, comp, and credit payments.
  • Prepare and package food and beverage orders for both dine-in and takeout.
  • Follow health and safety standards as mandated by the department.
  • Gain proficiency in all stations within the venue, including food preparation and cooking.
  • Ensure accurate receipt verification and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Clean and sanitize tables and dining areas according to established procedures.
  • Complete assigned side work and assist colleagues during breaks.
  • Engage in light food preparation and restock supplies as necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized guest dining environment.
  • Cook food items to meet guest specifications.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a high-volume food service environment preferred.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficient in operating cash registers and POS software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance standards.
  • Demonstrated integrity and adherence to business regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods (minimum of four hours).
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency in task completion and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate various areas of the venue, including stairs and escalators.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and push items weighing at least 40 lbs.
  • Physical capability to bend, twist, and grasp objects, as well as operate necessary equipment.
  • Tolerance for environments with secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
