Caesars Southern Indiana is seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and exceptional customer service in our multi-outlet restaurant.
Key Responsibilities- Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Team Management: Direct and manage a team of line-level employees to achieve budgetary, food quality, and customer service expectations.
- Kitchen Operations: Ensure excellent kitchen hygiene and sanitary conditions exist at all times.
- Leadership and Development: Lead by creating a positive, supportive work environment and cross-train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Cost Control: Assist in the development of the departmental operating budget and control food and labor costs within approved budgetary controls.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Education: High school degree or equivalent required; graduate of a culinary arts program preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of four years of food preparation experience in a high-volume establishment.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, supervisory skills, ability to logically plan work and processes, and basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Work Environment: Ability to work independently, sit and/or stand for long periods, and lift, carry, and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.
