Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our Finance department. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of Wisk's financial reporting, managing the monthly close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies for both domestic and international operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise accounting functions including consolidation, general ledger management, payroll, and intercompany transactions, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and local regulations.
  • Manage daily accounting activities: Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and payroll entries while producing accurate financial reports.
  • Review fixed asset records to ensure proper capitalization and depreciation.
  • Lead the accounts payable team, overseeing processes related to invoice management and expense reporting.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end financial procedures, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Distribute monthly and quarterly internal financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Controller and FP&A team to maintain accounting records aligned with reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of various tax returns in collaboration with external tax advisors.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by streamlining processes and improving internal controls.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
  • Provide guidance on non-routine transactions and lead assessments of their accounting treatment.
  • Drive excellence in financial processes related to manufacturing, including cost accounting and inventory valuation.
  • Engage in special projects and contribute to team training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within diverse company environments.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite experience.
  • Experience in ERP implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, particularly in technology and manufacturing sectors; CPA designation preferred.
  • Exceptional technical accounting skills with a proven ability to address complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated capability in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in building trust and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing internal controls for SOX compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving and dynamic workplace.
