Job Overview: Engineering Project Specialist

The Engineering Project Specialist will play a crucial role within our engineering team, focusing on the post-sale technical aspects during the integration of Audio Visual, Video Conferencing, and IT Solutions systems. This position entails a thorough review of intricate scopes of work, site data, and materials, leading to the creation of signal flow diagrams and infrastructure schematics, along with other essential installation documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering oversight for projects ranging from small-scale (up to $25K) to large-scale (over $200K)
• Develop comprehensive build documentation, including signal flow and AV architectural specifications
• Ensure uniformity and accuracy in the review of scope of work and bill of materials documentation
• Generate additional documentation such as power consumption charts, load calculations, and wire pull diagrams
• Manage change orders, address internal inquiries, and collaborate with project stakeholders and other trades to facilitate project completion
• Take ownership as the primary engineer for 8 to 15 concurrent projects of varying sizes
• Respond promptly and effectively to notifications and requests for assistance
• Maintain clear communication and thorough documentation of activities
• Foster a positive work environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AV engineering or relevant training
• CTS certification or equivalent preferred, with a requirement to obtain within one year of hire
• CTS-D certification is a plus but not mandatory
• At least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD is essential
• Familiarity with block creation and dynamic blocks is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF is required
• Additional manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Polycom) are preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of organizational abilities
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills
