Position Summary: We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development & Growth to spearhead our Growth and Business Development team. This pivotal role is based at our headquarters and will be instrumental in driving CALIBRE's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the President & CEO, serving as the primary point of contact for all growth initiatives.
  • Engage proactively throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from pipeline development to bid decisions and customer demonstrations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the President & CEO, providing insights on business growth strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a robust five-year pipeline of opportunities, focusing on various contract vehicles.
  • Implement and oversee capture processes to secure new business and meet ambitious sales targets.
  • Lead and mentor the Directors of Capture, Business Development, Proposal Management, and Pricing teams.
  • Encourage innovation and transform new business opportunities into actionable plans.
  • Execute Corporate Growth Business plans to align with CALIBRE's strategic objectives.
  • Monitor the business landscape to identify growth opportunities and enhance cross-selling efforts.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across divisions to ensure a unified vision and successful outcomes.
  • Guide technical, capture, and proposal teams to work cohesively in support of new business growth.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition and contract management practices, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into measurable objectives.
  • Strong executive presence with sound judgment and high initiative.
  • Experience in developing integrated business solutions aligned with CALIBRE's core competencies.
  • Extensive network within government and industry sectors.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in driving execution and fostering client relationships.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage tight deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Represent CALIBRE at industry events and forums as a top-level executive.
  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership and team-building skills.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of business development and capture management experience.
  • Expertise in the lifecycle of growth functions, including sales, marketing, and proposal development.
  • Successful track record in federal government contracting, including experience with GWACs.
  • Experience in market analysis and converting insights into business opportunities.
  • DoD Secret Clearance or equivalent required; Top Secret Clearance-eligible.
