We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Staff Development and Education to join our team at Covenant Living. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of educational programs for all skilled nursing employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting quality resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and deliver in-service education programs for licensed nurses, nursing assistants, and other staff members
Develop and maintain training materials and programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills
Collaborate with department managers to plan, present, and evaluate in-service programs
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures
Lead and manage staff development initiatives, including technology-based training and infection control programs
Measure training effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
2 years' experience in geriatric nursing and 1 year in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs
Active RN license in good standing
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to create effective training materials and programs
