Job Description

Mia Maison Childcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education Director to lead our preschool team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth in our children.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
  • Plan and execute daily activities, including theme-related materials and rotation of toys and equipment, to engage children and promote their development.
  • Ensure the room is clean, well-stocked, and free of hazards, promoting hygiene and dealing with accidents and medical issues appropriately.
  • Teach children basic life skills, such as mealtime routines, dressing, bathroom use, and naps, while guiding them through these processes.
  • Familiarize students with letters, numbers, shapes, and colors through reading stories, singing songs, playing games, or doing arts and crafts.
  • Foster self-esteem in an inclusive atmosphere, encouraging emotional and social development through one-on-one attention and setting behavioral expectations.
  • Carefully monitor children for signs of behavioral or learning problems and track their progress over time.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and supervise new hires and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care and education.
  • Plan and conduct parent-teacher conferences, keeping parents informed about their child's progress and activities.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to bend and stoop to interact with children at their level.
  • Must be able to play and communicate with children, demonstrating physical exercise and standing for approximately 95% of the workday.
  • Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent, or be enrolled in a CDA program.
  • Must have two years' experience working with children in a center setting.
