  • Support librarians in developing and maintaining the adult services collection, including weeding out-of-date materials and performing related duties.
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and presentation of library programs, storytimes, and special events.
  • Perform duties of Storytime Associate and Circulation Assistant as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma or GED and an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Ability to pass alphanumeric sorting test and computer skills test.

  • Proficient in the use of the Integrated Library System (ILS).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate judgment in handling information and records.
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Ability to arrange items in alphanumeric and/or subject order.
  • Superior working knowledge of traditional and electronic resources, including websites and databases.
  • Ability to deliver programs and speak before groups.
  • Ability to retain and follow circulation policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
