Position Overview:
The People Group at GEICO is seeking a dedicated Compensation Business Partner to become an integral part of the Total Rewards Team. This role is essential in ensuring that the organization’s compensation frameworks are not only competitive but also aligned with compliance standards. We are in search of a professional who can act as a strategic partner in the design, execution, and oversight of intricate compensation initiatives tailored for specific client groups, all while supporting the overarching business objectives of GEICO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary consultant for various support functions and business units, providing strategic guidance on compensation methodologies and market positioning.
  • Conduct comprehensive job family assessments and evaluate market compensation for various roles.
  • Offer innovative compensation strategies and solutions that align with business goals, challenging existing norms to achieve optimal results.
  • Lead communication efforts related to compensation and manage change processes effectively.
  • Facilitate annual performance and incentive programs for designated client groups.
  • Develop, implement, and manage base salary structures, including pay setting, progression policies, and overall compensation strategies.
  • Perform advanced modeling and analysis on compensation matters, creating analytical tools to forecast and address compensation challenges, while presenting data insights through visual representations.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of compensation analysts.
  • Collaborate with various corporate departments to ensure compliance with all compensation-related regulations (e.g., Accounting, Tax, and Legal).
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to influence decision-making and communicate essential information to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Human Resources is preferred.
  • Strong awareness of external market trends and compensation legislation.
  • Experience with HRIS applications, particularly Workday, is desirable.
  • Over 10 years of experience in compensation roles is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a management capacity is preferred.
  • Ability to adopt a consultative approach with a strategic mindset, combined with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel, with the capability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with HR Business Partners, Managers, and Senior Leadership across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative team player who takes initiative and fosters strong working relationships.
  • Certification as a Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
Compensation:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $128,000 to $224,000. This range serves as a general guideline, with various factors influencing the final compensation offer, including role responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market considerations.
