Job Summary

Sentara Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Sentara Martha Jefferson Family Medicine in Charlottesville, VA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct phlebotomy, clinical, and clerical duties under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to ensure a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or one year experience as an EMT, Paramedic, and/or Corpsman.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred, plus experience with electronic medical records.
  • CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician certification.
