About the Role

This position plays a critical role in supporting the Supply Chain team at Kerry, working under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager to ensure the efficient and effective management of raw materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing daily material requirements, generating purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to meet current and planned requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Planning and Procurement: Review daily MRP Material Activity Report to identify material requirements and generate purchase orders to meet current and planned needs.
  • Supplier Management: Follow up with suppliers to confirm expected delivery dates and arrange freight for loads other than delivered terms.
  • Inventory Management: Notify production planners of material delays and arrange replacement materials to prevent shortages and stockouts.
  • Quality Control: Review material rejections with Quality Control and initiate return to vendor authorizations, coordinating the return of rejected materials to suppliers.
  • Financial Management: Review and respond to all invoice discrepancies and receipt discrepancies within 24 hours.
  • Continuous Improvement: Make recommendations related to raw material data, lead times, and reorder points to support Kerry's goals for inventory investment levels.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Generate daily metrics, raw material housekeeping lists, and inbound freight issue tracking, as well as other reporting as required.
  • Safety and Compliance: Attend all safety meetings, report any safety incidents or accidents, and understand and follow all company and plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Food Safety: Be trained in Kerry's HACCP program to identify critical steps and other instructions critical to effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Plan.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the food industry and raw materials is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in purchasing, planning, or related business experience.
  • Technical Skills: SAP experience and proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and facilitating meetings are required.
  • Education: Associate Degree or higher in Business or a related field is preferred, with APICS certification a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually, based on several factors including education, work experience, certifications, and location. Kerry offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and retirement contribution, subject to eligibility requirements.
