As a vital member of the logistics team, the Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator will assist the Regional Warehouse Manager.
This role involves supporting warehouse managers within the designated region by conducting inventory capacity assessments, establishing best practices, providing on-site training, and managing projects.
Key Responsibilities- Drive operational enhancements alongside warehousing and distribution inventory optimization.
- Support on-site initiatives within assigned locations as necessary.
- Evaluate inventory levels and contribute to the formulation of a replenishment strategy in collaboration with the Supply Chain.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions, leading actions to achieve these enhancements.
- Analyze inventory levels in designated locations and work towards reducing aged inventory.
- Assist in evaluating the current network and provide insights on the capacity and utilization of all warehouses.
- Implement industry-leading warehousing processes and practices that enhance operational efficiencies.
- Lead racking optimization initiatives on-site with assigned teams.
- Apply best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to enhance operational and financial performance.
- Identify savings by eliminating waste or unnecessary steps in logistics processes.
- Foster a culture of safety throughout the department and support all safety initiatives.
- Engage in other special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a closely related field; equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics is preferred.
- Experience with planning software, logistics scheduling, BI tools, and WMS/TMS systems.
- Strong leadership abilities in a team environment, along with excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Above-average knowledge of North American geography concerning freight lanes and backhaul opportunities.
- Ability to present and collaborate at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related Office applications.
- Experience with data analytics and analytic software.
- Demonstrated capability to identify, process, and execute value-added project work that leads to bottom-line savings for the organization.
- Proven ability to organize, participate in, and lead teams.
- Six Sigma training (White Belt, Black Belt) is preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required, up to 40%.
