Job Overview

Access Services is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our recruitment team. In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for prospective candidates, guiding them to find the most suitable positions within our organization. Your primary objective will be to manage applicants for our programs focused on Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.

To effectively identify the ideal candidates for our open positions, you will cultivate relationships with various program teams and utilize this insight to conduct thorough applicant evaluations. As the first representative of our organization that candidates interact with, you will assess each applicant based on the specific requirements of each role and collaborate closely with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong partnerships with Intellectual Disability and Autism programs to comprehend staffing requirements and effectively represent these initiatives.
  • Evaluate candidates across various roles to ensure optimal placements.
  • Conduct initial phone interviews with candidates.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries from candidates via the recruitment hotline.
  • Assist Hiring Managers in engaging candidates and facilitating their progression through the hiring process, including scheduling and documentation.
  • Represent Access Services at recruitment events as part of the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Manage candidate interactions through our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or Candidate Relationship Management tools.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to monitor candidate status and provide ATS support.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and statistics, offering regular updates to management.
  • Proactively source candidates using various recruitment techniques and platforms as needed.

Qualifications

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. A college degree in human resources, business administration, communication, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience in administrative roles, recruitment, customer service, sales, marketing, or development is required. Experience in social services or nonprofit environments is preferred, particularly with intellectual disability and autism services and/or applicant tracking systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting compensation for the Talent Acquisition Specialist position is $19/hour, with potential increases based on education and experience.

This is a full-time hourly position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday during regular business hours, offering flexibility. To best serve our candidates, the specialist may opt to work a few evening or weekend hours weekly to accommodate calls, with the ability to adjust those hours during the week.
