The Land Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for securing undeveloped land or finished lots for future projects. This role involves collaboration with property owners, brokers, land developers, municipal officials, and other stakeholders to successfully acquire land.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, secure, and manage leads for land acquisition
  • Respond to and develop initial action plans for new leads from external sources
  • Conduct title and municipal research, along with preliminary outreach for potential land opportunities
  • Facilitate initial meetings with sellers or their representatives
  • Gather and present essential property details, seller requirements, terms, conditions, and contact information to management
  • Draft letters of intent
  • Maintain strong relationships with land developers, brokers, and property owners
  • Evaluate and analyze the financial viability of each development opportunity
  • Engage in regular communication with municipal officials
  • Negotiate purchase agreements with sellers
  • Conduct all business transactions with professionalism and integrity to enhance customer satisfaction and the company's reputation
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, real estate, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and attention to detail
