About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our daily Recruiting, Payroll, and Human Resources functions and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage part of the company's recruiting needs for various positions and departments
  • Provide additional support to onboarding tasks, including follow-up with background checks, new hire orientation scheduling, and HR dashboard updates
  • Create various reports for HR and other departments
  • Maintain employee records by creating personnel files, updating electronic HR files, and storing confidential materials
  • Collect and store offer letters and onboarding documents for placement in personnel files
  • Order departmental supplies and coordinate distribution
  • Arrange employee appreciation events and obtain necessary permits
  • Complete I-9 forms for new hires and verify documents provided
  • Enroll employees in ADP's Learning Management System and communicate with those who have overdue courses
  • Create flyers for company communication as needed
  • Prepare new hire orientation materials and serve as backup for New Hire Orientation
  • Meet with new hires to onboard them as needed
  • Create and upload 2nd floor safety inspections
  • Prepare documents for employee exit meetings or mailings and may conduct exit meetings as required
  • Support the Director of Human Resources with various tasks or projects
  • Travel to local manufacturing facilities to meet with management or employees as required
Requirements
  • College or AA degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of office experience, preferably in human resources
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Must be computer literate and demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Competencies
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently at times
  • Must be effective and professional in written and verbal forms of communication
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding HR events, documents, and other information
