Field Service Technician

Nidec Minster Corporation, a leading provider of material forming presses in the United States, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician. This role is essential for delivering technical assistance and maintenance services to our clients, overseeing the setup of equipment at customer facilities, and educating client personnel on the correct operation and upkeep of Minster machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical and maintenance assistance to clients utilizing Minster's metal forming machinery.
  • Commission both new and refurbished metal forming equipment at client locations.
  • Conduct audits on clients' metal forming equipment and document all necessary repairs.
  • Prepare and present written and verbal reports in a clear and professional manner.
  • Encourage the purchase of service parts and preventative maintenance agreements.
  • Adapt to flexible working hours to meet customer service demands, primarily during the day with occasional off-shift support.
Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical machinery, along with troubleshooting and maintenance techniques.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, up to 90% of the time.
