Position Overview:


A Logistics Analyst employs analytical techniques and a variety of tools to comprehend, forecast, and manage logistics operations and processes effectively.

The analyst is tasked with data oversight, performance evaluation, problem identification, and formulating recommendations that aid logistics management. They address challenges by evaluating potential actions within the framework of management's objectives and standards, ensuring timely completion of all assignments.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, capable of supporting multiple projects and logistics functions, possess outstanding communication abilities, collaborate well within a team, engage with various levels and functions within the logistics organization, and manage vendor and business relationships proficiently.


Key Responsibilities:
25% Generate and assess reports to facilitate business operations.

25% Create business tools and solutions leveraging knowledge, products, or technology while identifying opportunities for logistics process enhancement.

15% Foster vendor and business partner relationships.

15% Develop and uphold cost estimates, forecasts, and financial models.


10% Conduct data management through data mining, modeling, analysis, cost/benefit evaluations, and problem analysis, while executing daily processes related to their area of responsibility.

10% Assist the business with ad-hoc inquiries and maintain reports from various resources as required by departmental or organizational needs.

Managerial Structure:
No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Expectations:
Typically involves minimal overnight travel, less than 10% of the time.

Physical Demands:
Most work is performed in a seated position with frequent opportunities for movement. Occasionally, there may be a need to lift or move light items.

Work Environment:
Positioned in a comfortable indoor setting. Any adverse conditions would be infrequent and manageable.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least eighteen years of age.

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or Finance.

Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.

Proficiencies:
Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Visio.

Advanced Skills:
Mini-Tab, Access, SQL, Visual Basic for Data Acquisition and Analysis.

Minimum Education:


Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent in a relevant field.
