Technical Design Specialist

Our client, a renowned American outdoor brand, is seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join their team in Seattle, WA. As a Technical Designer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company's outdoor and athleisure products meet the highest standards of fit, construction, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with designers and merchandisers to develop technical specifications for garments.
- Lead and manage the fitting process, ensuring that product fit aligns with brand standards and customer expectations.
- Create and maintain technical packages, including construction details and material selections, using PLM systems.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and sourcing partners to ensure smooth product development and resolve any production or quality issues.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, particularly in fit and styling, to enhance product development and customer satisfaction.
- 5+ years of experience in technical design, garment manufacturing, and specification development.
- Proficiency in PLM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience in leading fit sessions and a deep understanding of garment construction.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
This is a 3-month contract position with the potential to extend. The Technical Designer will work on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote. The hourly rate is $40/hour on a W2.
