Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Individual Giving to lead our individual annual giving programs, including unrestricted giving, Trustees' Annual Fund, and fundraising activities of auxiliary groups.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee a team of five, implementing strategies to achieve our $3.01 million annual fundraising goal. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing team performance to ensure optimal donor experience and positive financial outcomes for the Museum
  • Tracking progress toward achieving financial goals and pivoting as necessary to add new tactics
  • Coordinating solicitation and stewardship strategies for various donor pools
  • Leading proposal tracking coordination between teams to ensure accurate projections
  • Fostering collaboration and driving results with the team
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7-10 years of fundraising experience in individual giving and annual fund programs, preferably in museums or nonprofits
  • A proven track record of managing campaigns that exceed $2 million annually
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to mentor team members and develop fundraising strategies
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
