Strategic Finance Director at the Field Museum

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Finance Director to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in developing and implementing operational imperatives and strategic initiatives, serving as a vital member of the President's Team.
Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description:
The Strategic Finance Director will be responsible for ensuring the financial strength and enabling profitable operation of the Museum by planning, directing, and leading financial activities, including financial planning & analysis; treasury; accounting and control; audit; tax; grants administration;
facilities planning and operations; and protection services.
This role will work closely with the CEO and COO as a business partner, setting and implementing the Field Museum's financial strategy and driving initiatives to advance its overall objectives.
One key responsibility will be managing the Long-term Financial Plan, an essential element of the Strategic Plan.
The Strategic Finance Director reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, who regularly interacts with the Board of Trustees. They will work closely with the Board and serve as liaisons with the Finance, Budget Subcommittee, Audit, Investment, Debt Oversight, and Facilities Committees.
This position oversees the Finance and Accounting, Facilities Planning and Operations, and Protection Services departments, directing a team of five direct reports and managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and building an effective team dynamic.
