Position Overview:

Nightwing is in search of a Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee a dedicated team of procurement experts, aiming to enhance operational efficiency across our supply network. This role is pivotal as we innovate and advance in the aerospace sector, focusing on the development of our latest business jet initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled supply chain professionals.
  • Implement and manage processes, standards, and strategies that align with program objectives.
  • Evaluate proposals, negotiate pricing, and authorize procurement orders.
  • Ensure a consistent supply of materials to meet quality and scheduling demands through effective supplier management.
  • Anticipate and address potential supply chain disruptions related to capacity or supplier issues.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by applying best practices in supply chain management and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by gathering feedback from suppliers and customers regarding service standards.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve supply chain goals.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing supply chain team.
  • Set clear objectives and guide the team towards achieving operational success.
  • Communicate policies and procedures effectively to ensure compliance.
  • Address complex challenges that require consideration of multiple factors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Technical understanding of complex manufacturing processes.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies.
  • Background in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong presentation skills for executive-level communication.
