Key Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Regional Facilities Operations Manager:

As the Regional Facilities Operations Manager at Liberty Military Housing, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Maintenance Director and a skilled team. Your role will involve contributing to company strategies and objectives by optimizing maintenance resources and supporting maintenance, engineering, and related functions. You will ensure the efficiency, functionality, safety, and sustainability of Liberty Military Housing's physical assets and infrastructure while providing cost-effective maintenance and engineering solutions.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing best practices in maintenance operations.
  • Assisting Regional Property Managers and Maintenance Supervisors with escalated maintenance concerns.
  • Managing financial aspects related to maintenance.
  • Overseeing contract setup and project management to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Managing vendor relationships to drive excellence, control costs, and build trust.
  • Establishing metrics and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
  • Identifying and implementing sustainable initiatives.
  • Staying updated on technological advancements and evaluating maintenance services for efficiency.
  • Facilitating effective communication regarding maintenance and engineering operations.
  • Maintaining organized records and generating insightful reports.
  • Assisting with due diligence as required.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Providing coaching for maintenance staff as needed.

Qualifications for Success

What You Need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the multifamily property management sector.
  • Experience in on-site maintenance, project management, and vendor oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience with property management software, preferably Yardi.
  • Ability to effectively lead and coach team members.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and sound judgment in challenging situations.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills.
  • Proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Skilled in building relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
  • Understanding of the financial implications of maintenance operations.
  • Effective negotiation capabilities.
  • Experience with budgets, proposals, and contracts.
  • Ability to interpret bids and manage contract terms.
  • Compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable health and safety laws.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 Annually
