Key Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Regional Facilities Operations Manager:

As the Regional Facilities Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Maintenance Director and a talented team to enhance our operational strategies. Your role will involve optimizing maintenance resources and supporting engineering functions to ensure the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our physical assets.

Your Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and execute best practices in maintenance operations.
  • Assist the Regional Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisors with complex maintenance challenges.
  • Oversee financial management and budgeting.
  • Manage contracts and projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Foster vendor relationships to drive excellence and mitigate risks.
  • Implement metrics to analyze data for informed decision-making.
  • Identify and promote sustainable initiatives.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and evaluate maintenance services for efficiency.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding maintenance and engineering operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate insightful reports.
  • Support due diligence efforts as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Assist with employee relations and provide coaching as necessary.

Qualifications for Success

What You Need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in multifamily property management.
  • Experience in on-site maintenance, project management, and vendor relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new technologies.
  • Familiarity with property management software, preferably Yardi.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Organized with effective time management capabilities.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Skilled in building relationships across diverse groups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of the financial implications of maintenance operations.
  • Effective negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 Annually
