Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the efforts of a small team to meet all MSD task area requirements.
  • Assist with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, including maintaining the Microsoft SharePoint site, ensuring the accuracy and completion of FOIA submissions, and providing metrics and updates for various reports.
  • Support the Audits Division with both internal and external audits, as well as other related tasks as assigned.
  • Assist government officials with Congressional, OIG, and higher headquarters requests.
  • Help prepare SES and headquarters-level briefs, white papers, and memos that support strategic recommendations.
  • Develop and manage project plans, tracking tasks and timelines effectively.
  • Assist the Government project manager in setting team priorities.
  • Contribute to the development of acquisition milestone documentation and acquisition portfolio assessments.
  • Prepare summaries, analyses, reports, charts, graphs, instructions, memoranda, and reference materials for benchmarking or inclusion in reports.
  • Engage with senior management levels effectively.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Freedom of Information Act, and the DHS Acquisition Manual (HSAM), along with other regulatory and policy guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Government Accountability Office and Office of Inspector General audit requests and processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Proven initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work effectively.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with experience supporting senior government officials and business professionals.
  • Ability to research, gather, and synthesize data efficiently.
  • Capability to present findings and recommendations to management clearly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
