Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at COLSA. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for providing routine technical support in areas such as research, design, development, testing, installation, or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hardware support to systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and repairing.
  • Install and maintain mini-rack systems, including upgrades.
  • Assist in engineering testing and/or experimental testing.
  • Assemble small to large electromechanical assemblies, test and troubleshoot assemblies, and combine subassemblies into final assemblies, components, or apparatus.
  • Perform setup, calibration, testing, and trouble-shooting of components, assemblies, or final products.
  • Provide customer or technical support for hardware products, systems, or system software.
  • Apply written standard procedures and working technical knowledge to the preventive or simple corrective maintenance of systems.

  • Work from drawings, diagrams, rough sketches, or formal assembly procedures and process control documents to assemble quality components or final products.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • US Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.
  • Previous assembly experience.
  • Patient, reliable, and hard-working.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without an accommodation.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of desktop applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
  • Two years of electronics training from technical trade school or military technical school or two years of computer training as applicable to the job.
  • Basic electronics training or experience.
  • Familiarity with multi-meters.
  • Soldering experience/certification a plus.
