Job Overview

Position: Electromechanical Assembly Specialist

Shift: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Compensation: $25 per hour

Role Responsibilities:
  • The role encompasses mechanical assembly, wire and cable assembly, and harnessing, alongside quality inspection and testing duties.
  • Each technician will focus on assembling the designated subassembly.
  • Upon task assignment, technicians will utilize the manufacturing execution system (MES) to access specific work instructions.
  • Following the provided instructions, they will mark tasks as completed in the MES upon finishing each manufacturing step.
  • Electrical assembly tasks involve connecting wires and harnesses to modules and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
  • Tools utilized include screwdrivers, wrenches, power drills, needle-nose pliers, Allen wrenches, wire strippers, and wire crimpers.
  • After assembly is finalized and documented in the MES, technicians will transition to the testing phase.
  • This phase involves installing firmware on the PCBA using a laptop.
  • Technicians will execute scripts to upload firmware and subsequently conduct functional testing.
  • During testing, they will select the device area to be tested, input the relevant code, and verify the execution of the code.
  • All personnel are accountable for testing and troubleshooting processes.
  • Testing involves connecting cables to the subassembly, loading the program, and executing the script.
  • Documentation of each step in the manufacturing process is essential for maintaining an electronic device history record.
